Atheist Recycle Program

When Naughtyniko (Nn) finishes reading one of the many atheist and freethought publications that he subscribes to, he doesn’t save them nor throws them away, he conveniently “misplaces” them.  They are found in heavy local pedestrian traffic areas, such as outside coffee shops and the post office.  Nn has tarried around to see if they’re picked up and they are, by curious people, many with open-mouths and wide eyes.  One lady acquaintance of Nn’s keeps coming back for more, and get this, she “re-misplaces” the previous copies she has picked up.  To be a bit more open and honest about it, Nn leaves the mailing address on the publications (except for American Atheist which is sent in a plain envelope).  He’s had one response when a regional pastor mailed one of his “misplaced” publications back to him with an invitation to attend one of the pastor’s services.  LOL.

The newspaper Freethought Today, published by the Freedom From Religion Foundation, has a regular two-page centerfold section entitled “Black Collar Crime Blotter” that lists current clergy misdeeds, usually about 60 or so.  When Nn “misplaces” this paper, he places it atop a local popular weekly newspaper stand outside a busy coffee shop at the time that newspaper first comes out and locals eagerly seek it.  The Freethought Today is always left folded open to the Black Collar Crime pages and people snap it up quickly and read it with their morning coffee.  To maximize this, Nn makes copies of just the Black Collar Crime pages and “misplaces” them every week until a new Freethought Today comes in the mail.

So, if you subscribe to such publications, don’t let them go to waste, but recycle them to your good neighbors.  Spread the word!
